Global Social Thought
The Global Social Thought (GST) working group investigates alternatives to classical Western social theory to remedy the ethnocentrism and racism of our intellectual foundations and approaches to research and analysis. We explore classic streams of thought from South Asian, East Asian, African, Islamic, and Indigenous thought, as well as contemporary issues in social theory coming from the Global South, creating a dialogue of intellectual traditions and enriching our approach to social issues.
